July’s DFW housing numbers continue to show a market that’s finding its balance—and one that looks very different depending on where you are.
Collin and Rockwall Counties posted year-over-year gains in closed sales, while Dallas, Denton and Tarrant experienced softer activity. Prices were mixed as well, with gains in Collin and Rockwall and declines in Dallas, Denton and Tarrant. The bigger story is that today’s market requires more strategy. Buyers have more negotiating power in many areas, while sellers need to price carefully and understand the competition in their specific neighborhood and price point. For real estate professionals, local knowledge, good information and experienced partners matter more than ever.
